Strong Heart
Network

Origin

In hospitals, we often see many patients who need to go to the emergency room or be re-hospitalized every once in a while because of repeated symptoms, and are troubled by the disease. In fact, if you have a correct understanding of heart failure, follow the instructions and suggestions of medical staff, receive long-term drug treatment, and perform self-care activities at home such as diet, exercise and self-monitoring of symptoms, heart failure can be controlled.
In order to provide patients and their families with a more complete understanding of heart failure, we published the first edition of the Heart "Failure Self-Care Handbook" in February 2012, and completed the revision of the sixth edition in January 2024. We will continue to provide readers with the latest relevant information in the future.
Heart failure is a chronic disease that not only affects the patient in the long term, but also affects the life and work of family members. Both parties may need help or support. Support groups can help patients and their families get out of the shadow of the disease. Therefore, we held the first patients association in June 2015 and started to establish a LINE group, which is still held every year. Patients, family members and medical staff actively participated in the event, which determined that we would continue to expand the patient association and serve more patients and their families through different channels.
The Strong Heart Network is mainly to provide heart failure patients and their families with an opportunity to obtain disease-related knowledge and interact with medical staff and patients online, so as to get answers to their questions and emotional support. It is hoped that after understanding heart failure, patients and their families can find ways to coexist with the disease, control the disease and enjoy a certain quality of life.
